Flower Power
For all you hippies,
former hippies and
those of you who
remember the
hippies, this August
15th marks the 40th
anniversary of the
famous concert in
Bethel, New York.
Over three days,
500,000 flower
children listened
to The Who, Jimi
Hendrix and
Canada’s own
The Band as more
than 30 acts took
to the stage.
If
you still need your
Woodstock fix,
and who wouldn’t
after the ill-fated
concerts in ‘94
and ‘99, keep the
memories alive,
check out the four-hour
concert film
Woodstock: 3 Days
of Peace & Music
Director’s Cut, as
well as director Ang
Lee’s film Taking
Woodstock and
organizer Michael
Lang’s book The
Road to Woodstock
(HarperCollins).
