What is a Zoomer?

Magazines.jpg

… a Baby Boomer with Zip.

The
term popularized by Moses Znaimer, describes our target market — the 14.5
million Canadians who are 45+

“They are the single most influential consumer group in the history of the
world. They have more money and time than any other demographic by far. Zoomers
are over 14 million strong: nearly 1 in every 3 Canadians has celebrated a 50th
birthday. They don’t follow the crowd. They are the crowd. They’ve led, then
transformed, then dominated every market they’ve entered. And they change
loyalties with ruthless efficiency.”

Zoomer Magazine

The magazine for Canadians who embrace life with
experience and confidence and who arent afraid of change.

In 2007, Moses Znaimer purchased CARP magazine and almost immediately evolved
it into Zoomer magazine, which launched October of 2008. He appointed New York’s
style and magazine icon, Suzanne Boyd, as Editor-in-Chief and charged her with
revitalizing and rebranding the magazine into a glossy, lifestyle publication.

Zoomer circulation, built on CARPs 186,000 (CCAB Sept. 2007), will deliver
200,667 copies as of the December 2008 issue. Subscription growth and the
addition of newsstand sales have delivered Zoomer past the original 200,000
copies target after only 3 issues.
